Course Description
Students in this course have the opportunity to gain fundamental skills needed for Exploring Mathematics in the Everyday World (MATH 1025), College Math (MATH 1030), and College Algebra Concepts (MATH 1040). Students complete weekly quizzes on a variety of topics, including the order of operations, simplifying algebraic expressions, polynomials, exponents, basic geometry, and solving linear equations and inequalities. Students have the opportunity to engage in weekly discussions on any challenges regarding these math topics to promote student success. Note: This course can be taken for elective credit only. Completion of this course does not fulfill the general education requirement.Applications for each non-degree, credit-bearing, course are reviewed by Walden University’s Admissions Office. Therefore, only a single credit-bearing Walden course can be purchased at a time until an admission decision is rendered (usually within 2 business days).
