Course Description
This course is designed to prepare future licensed graduates for a potential career in private practice, with a focus on distance-based practice. Students will explore changes in the field that have led to growing possibilities and career paths. Students will consider various options for developing their own practice including joining an existing practice, solo practice, group practice, a practice with a physical presence, and virtual/remote practice. The course will cover a myriad of elements pertinent for developing an independent practice from insurance panels to HIPAA compliant software.Applications for each non-degree, credit-bearing, course are reviewed by Walden University’s Admissions Office. Therefore, only a single credit-bearing Walden course can be purchased at a time until an admission decision is rendered (usually within 2 business days).
