Course Description
This course is an introduction to the utilization of telemental health services in behavioral health and prepares students to respond to the growing demand and availability of telemental health services. Students will gain an understanding of the usefulness of this treatment delivery modality and the current trends in the field evolving around it. Important legal and ethical issues will serve as a foundation to all other elements. The course design centers on multiple experiential components to enable students to maximize telemental health potential and effectiveness.Applications for each non-degree, credit-bearing, course are reviewed by Walden University’s Admissions Office. Therefore, only a single credit-bearing Walden course can be purchased at a time until an admission decision is rendered (usually within 2 business days).
