Nina Ida Marie Spadaro

Dr. Nina Ida Marie Spadaro studied under Dr. Ed Jacobs, founder of Impact Therapy, at West Virginia University, where she completed her MS in Rehabilitation Counseling, and her Doctor of Education in Counseling & Guidance. She is a licensed psychologist with roots in in the wellness culture of mental health counseling. Her primary theoretical orientations integrate Individual Psychology (Adlerian), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Internal Family Systems. Dr. Spadaro incorporates the brief, active, and multi-sensory Impact Therapy approach over the variety of clinical experiences she has had, including counseling at a federal prison, clinical consultation for a Veterans Outreach Center, community counseling, and over thirty years of part-time private practice with individuals, couples and families. She incorporates the Impact Therapy Approach in her teaching and presentations. Currently Dr. Spadaro is a faculty and administrative coordinator at Walden University in the School of Counseling. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her trees and her human family. Dr. Spadaro has a private practice in Bellingham, Washington which incorporates martial arts and psychotherapeutic yoga.
