Course Description
Models and theories of addiction are covered, as well as various treatment approaches. Prevention in various settings is addressed, including the etiology, patterns, and risk factors of addiction, as well as strategies for prevention. Treatment methodology, treatment planning, goal setting, and evaluation are also addressed. The multicultural context of addiction and client diversity are included.Applications for each non-degree, credit-bearing, course are reviewed by Walden University’s Admissions Office. Therefore, only a single credit-bearing Walden course can be purchased at a time until an admission decision is rendered (usually within 2 business days).
