Micro-Course 1 - What Is a Leader?
Reflect on your own leadership experiences and delve into definitions and theories of leadership.
Micro-Course 2 - Assessing Your Leadership Skills
Improving your leadership capacity takes focus and commitment. In this micro-course, you will complete the Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI®). The LPI® is a self-assessment tool designed to draw attention to your individual leadership strengths and areas for improvement by measuring how often you practice five research-based leadership practices. After you, and others you designate, assess your leadership on each of the five practices, you will examine your results and consider the implications of the findings for your growth and development as a leader.
Micro-Course 3 - Exploring Leadership Values
Covering the first leadership practice of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model-Model the Way-this micro-course clarifies the values that guide your leadership. You will also explore how to use those values to find your voice and model the way you lead.
Micro-Course 4 - Modeling the Way
Learn ways to identify your vision for the future and explore strategies to inspire and engage others in achieving the shared vision through Inspire a Shared Vision, the second leadership practice of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model.
Micro-Course 5 - Challenging the Process
Focus on the third leadership practice of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model-Challenge the Process. You will explore strategies for leading innovation, including experimentation, risk-taking, and using the lessons learned during the process to change or improve on the status quo.
Micro-Course 6 - Enabling Others to Act
Focus on the fourth leadership practice of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model-Enable Others to Act-as you examine ways to share leadership.
Micro-Course 7 - Encouraging the Heart
Looking at the fifth leadership practice of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model-Encourage the Heart-you will learn to recognize and celebrate the values and accomplishments of those you lead.
