Course Description
This course provides students with an introduction to established and emerging health behavior, health education, and health promotion theories and models. Students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary for applying various theoretical frameworks and models related to understanding psychosocial, cultural, and contextual factors influencing health behavior and behavior change. Throughout this course, students will focus on the role of theories and models in planning, implementing and evaluating health interventions at various levels.Applications for each non-degree, credit-bearing, course are reviewed by Walden University’s Admissions Office. Therefore, only a single credit-bearing Walden course can be purchased at a time until an admission decision is rendered (usually within 2 business days).
